Mini-Bosses are encountered roaming in the hallways of any mission. Bosses are only encountered in missions that require you to slay the boss. If you don't know what you're doing by the time you reach champion levels-you're going to get wiped.A lot.But hey,the game IS pretty simple- stuns and damage-over-time are ever effective,and it's better to go slow,but steady instead of hoping for a chance of MAXIMUM DAMAGE rolling on the dices.įorgot to mention-traits and trinkets that give you benefits in the dark are better than their light counterparts.So there's that,too. 1 Bosses 1.1 Unlocking bosses 1.2 Tips 1.3 Finding Mini-Bosses 2 Darkest Dungeon Bosses Bosses There are two types of bosses: Bosses and Mini-bosses. I went dark from the very beginning.Stress is a bigger problem,yes,as are crits from enemies.On the plus side your characters also crit much more often (My graverobbers habitually do 3-4 criticals in a row,wiping enemy's backline like it isn't even there),you save money on torches,you get 1-2 more pieces of loot (which is significant when it happens to be a gem or a heirloom pack),the game actually becomes fun,when you need to save your heroes from death on a regular basis and can actually lose someone,encunters with shamblers become the norm(EVERY SINGLE CHAMPION DUNGEON for me,sans one or two times)and difficulty difference between fully lit and pitch black becomes larger in veteran and especially champion dungeons.
